Goedde Details: Aria Giovanni’s face from 2001. I never crop my photographs because I believe in composing at the time of exposure. However, sometimes there are little elements in photographs which on their own don’t work as a whole. This is what the Goedde Details series is for me. Discarded elements brought to life in a new context. Follow me on Instagram at ‘stevedietgoedde’

Aria Giovanni, Pasadena 2002 - A previously unpublished photo of Aria Giovanni shot in the rain at a friend’s house in Pasadena. It was cold and wet that January day, but Aria was a real trooper, and we both managed to not get sick.

Aria Giovanni, Beverly Hills 2001 - I had found this beautiful sequined 1960s dress at a thrift store and was eager to shoot it on someone who’s figure complimented it. It fit Aria perfectly and once she stepped into the direct sunlight, the whole neighborhood was blinded with the reflected beams of sunlight. Shot with the Mamiya 645.  www.stevedietgoedde.com
