This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.
Asia DeVinyl, Los Angeles 2006 - Shot in my friend O’Shay’s bedroom. Shot on 120mm Kodak T-Max with a Mamiya 645. www.stevedietgoedde.com
Station Wagon, Los Angeles 2011 - I’m not really into cars or car photography but I’ve been enjoying shooting older cars with Instagram for iPhone. It reminds me of how life looked to me growing up in the 1970s. This nice family station wagon was found parked on the top of Mt. Wilson above Los Angeles. www.goeddeimages.com
Odelia, San Diego 1999 - Photographed in a super cool motel that hadn’t been modernized yet - complete with olive green shag carpeting. I was horrified one day when I went back there to find that they had updated it to look like every other Embassy Suites out there. Such a shame. Shot with the Mamiya 645 with Tmax 400 film. www.stevedietgoedde.com
Bernie Dexter, San Diego 2003 - I’ve known Bernie longer than she probably wants to admit. We shot this when she used to live in San Diego. I wanted this to look like one of those old brassiere ads from the 1950s. Photographed with the Mamiya 645. www.stevedietgoedde.com
Lucy Fur, Los Angeles 2001 - Lucy Fur wears a vintage raincoat and tries to hide her booby. This has always been one of my favorite outtakes, but I’m not sure if I’ve ever posted it before. www.stevedietgoedde.com
Luxe, Portland 2003 - Marne Lucas suggested that I work with Luxe on a past trip to Portland. Marne always has the best taste in models, and Luxe was no exception. Here’s another shot from the same session but from the rear. Shot with the Mamiya 645 with Tmax 400 film. www.stevedietgoedde.com
Mosh, Pasadena 2011 No. 2 - Photographed with the Mamiya 645 with Tmax 400 film. www.stevedietgoedde.com
Apnea, Los Angeles 2004 - From our first shoot together. Mamiya 645 with Tmax 400 film. www.stevedietgoedde.com
Mosh, Pasadena 2011 - Mosh and I finally worked together in March of 2011 after a year of procrastinating. We did this shoot guerrilla-style driving through Pasadena finding little areas that were suitable visual environments for her style and my aesthetics. Shot with the Mamiya 645 with Tmax 400 film. www.stevedietgoedde.com
